Detailed Solution

Corn Law was abolished because Poors were unhappy and Urban Dwellers were unhappy. The Corn Regulations are a set of laws that permit the British government to impose import restrictions on corn. Because of their unfavourable impact on urban residents and industrialists, the Corn Laws were compelled to be repealed. This was due to their unhappiness with the high cost of food. At a considerably lower price, food might be brought into Britain. From other parts of the world, Britain started importing food grains. Agriculture in Britain was unable to compete with imports. Large tracts of land were now uncultivated. Numerous thousand men and women lost their jobs. They began moving into cities. In Britain, food costs dropped, but consumption increased. Russia, America, and Australia contributed food grains to satisfy British needs. To connect the ports, they needed railroads.
