Detailed Solution

Coromandel Coast was known for textiles.
Nizam ul Mulk Asaf Jah had the ambition of controlling the Coromandel coast to acquire a rich textile-producing area. However, he could not control this area due to the various regional aspirations of other rulers. The state of Hyderabad was continuously in the struggle against Marathas, nayakas, and Britishers. On the Western side of the Empire, the king had to encounter Marathas and Nayaks, who were Telugu warriors chiefs of the Deccan Plateau. Similarly, on the eastern side, he was constantly engaging in war with the British to acquire the Coromandel coast, known for its rich textile-producing quality.
