Detailed Solution

India's four principal fibre crops are cotton, Jute, hemp, and natural silk. Cotton grows well in the drier parts of the Deccan plateau's black cotton soil has high temperatures, light precipitation or irrigation. Jute grows best in well-drained fertile floodplain soils that get replenished every year. During the growth of Jute, a high temperature is needed. Hemp is a soft, resilient, organically produced plant fibre from Cannabis plants. Natural silk is obtained from cocoons of silkworms fed on green leaves, particularly mulberry.
