Detailed Solution

Curdling of milk is a chemical and irreversible change.
We have mainly two types of changes, physical changes and chemical changes. Physical changes are the changes in which only colour, state and other physical properties are changed but there is no new substance is formed via a chemical reaction. Generally, physical changes are reversible. Chemical changes are the changes in which a new substance is formed via a chemical reaction. These changes are irreversible. Curdling of milk involves the chemical reaction between the lactic acid of curd and the proteins of milk and curd cannot be again converted to milk, thus it is a chemical change.
