Detailed Solution

Given curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is 8.8  m 2   and radius of the base of the cylinder is 1.4 m  .
We have to find the height of cylinder.
The surface area of a closed right circular cylinder is the sum of the area of the curved surface and the area of the two bases.  The curved surface that joins the two circular bases is said to be the lateral surface of the right circular cylinder. CSA=2πrh   square units.
By rewriting the given equation, we get,
Curved surface area =8.8  m 2
r=1.4mn CSA=2πrh   To find the value of height, we use the formula,
Curved surface area = 2πrh
8.8=2× 22 7 ×(1.4)h h= 8.8×7 2×22×1.4 h=1m
The value of height is equal to 1m.
Therefore, the correct option is 4.
