$$\begin{gathered} Let us assume that salary of Deepa=x RS \\ Initially she was planning donated 8\% of her salary=\frac{8}{100}\left(x\right)=\frac{2x}{25} \\ But later she donated 80\% of initial amount donated that is equal to 2240 \\ \Rightarrow \frac{80}{100}\left(\frac{2x}{25}\right)=2240 \\ \Rightarrow \frac{4}{5}\left(\frac{2x}{25}\right)=2240 \\ \Rightarrow x=280\times 125=35000 \end{gathered}$$
