Detailed Solution

Democracies is not a magical solution to all problems.
It is not an ideal form of government. Democracy has not solved all the concerns of the people. After years of independence, India continues to struggle with economic and social inequalities. Democracy is simply a system in which people get to make their own decisions. Democracies do not guarantee the quality of such decisions. Sometimes, a democratic system can only lead to delays in decisions. It may not always have a scope for good choices. Such inefficiency in decision-making has always been a demerit in democratic societies. The lengthy discussions and deliberations required in democratic systems often delay decisions. Ultimately, what matters is not if democracy solves all problems. But what matters is that it is better than all other existing forms of government.
