Detailed Solution

Given: Number of moles of carbon dioxide = 2
              The chemical formula of Carbon dioxide =CO2
Formula:
Number of moles = Mass of substance (m)Molar mass of given substance (M)
Solution:
Molar mass of CO2 (M)

                         = 1 X atomic mass of carbon + 2 X atomic mass of oxygen
                            = 1 X 12 + 2 X 16
                             = 44g
Number of moles of CO2 = Mass of of CO2 (m)Molar mass of of CO2 (M)
                            2  =   m44
                      2 X 44 =   m
                           m = 88g

 The mass of 2 moles of Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas is 88g.
