Detailed Solution

Given: Number of moles of sodium chloride = 3
              The chemical formula of Sodium chloride = NaCl
Formula:
Number of moles = Mass of substance (m)Molar mass of given substance (M)
Solution:
Molar mass of NaCl (M)  =  1 X  atomic mass of sodium +1 X atomic mass of chlorine

= 1 X 23 + 1 X 35.5
= 58.5g

Number of moles of NaCl =Mass of NaCl(m)  Molar mass of NaCl (M)

                              3 = m 58.5
                   3 X 58.5  =175.5

                         m = 175.5g

The mass of 3 moles of Sodium chloride is 175.5g.
