Detailed Solution

(i) Amylose is water soluble, but amylopectin is water insoluble. Amylose consists of 200 -1000 D - glucopyranose units connected in α - linkage between C1 of one unit and C4 of the next water insoluble amylopectin has similar structure to that of amylose except that the chains are branched.
(ii) Peptide linkage is formed between 2 amino acids. It is represented by –CONH-
Glycosidic linkage is formed between two monosaccharides.
It is –C-O-C- type linkage.
(iii) Polypeptide chains are parallel in fibrous protein. In globular protein, polypeptide chains are coiled to form a spherical structure.
