Do capillaries have valves?

Why Vein Valves Are Important

• The main function of vein valves is to prevent blood from flowing backward.
• If vein valves fail to work properly, blood may pool in the legs, leading to a condition called chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).
• CVI can cause swelling, pain, and varicose veins, as the blood struggles to return efficiently to the heart.
