Detailed Solution

Douchala and Chauchala were buildings.
Douchala means double roofed in Bengali. Similarly, Chauchala means four roofed buildings. Bengal region has a unique architectural style which consists of this double and four-roofed architecture where both common and rich people preferred to live. Most of the poor people used to live in double-roofed thatched huts. Temples in the Bengal region were usually built on a square platform, with interiors being relatively plain. The ordinary buildings of the common people of Bengal were also replicated in the temple architecture. Hence, most of the temples in the Bengal region also have double and four-roofed structures with a tower on them.
