Dr. B R Ambedkar died in 1956.
Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891, in the Mahar caste, who were treated as untouchables and subjected to socio-economic discrimination. He was an Indian jurist, economist, social reformer, and political leader who headed the committee drafting the Constitution of India from the Constituent Assembly debates and served as Law and Justice minister in the first cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru. Ambedkar was the first Indian to pursue a PhD in economics from abroad. He is also known as Babasaheb. He is also known as the Father of the Constitution. Ambedkar died on December 6, 1956, at his home in Delhi.
