During unfavourable conditions (plasmodium) slime mould under go

During favourable conditions, it is an aggregation of protoplasm may grow and spread over several feet, and it grow moves along and decaying twigs and leads engulfing organic material. During unfavorable conditions the plasmodium undergo asexual reproduction fruting bodies which bear spores at their terminals. The spores are able to with stand unfavorable conditions for several years due to presence of true walls.
