Given, ∆ABC is isosceles with AB = AC = 7.5 cm and BC = 9 cm. The height AD from A to BC, is 6 cm.

Area of the triangle = \frac{1}{2} (Base \times Height)

Area of the triangle with BC and AD as base and height respectively = Area of triangle with AB and CE as base and height respectively.
So,

\frac{1}{2} (BC \times AD) = \frac{1}{2} (AB \times CE)

\frac{1}{2} (9 \times 6) = \frac{1}{2} (7.5 \times CE)

CE = 7.2 cm
Hence, the height is 7.2 cm.
Therefore, option 2 is correct.
