Detailed Solution

The above statement is False.
Exhaustible and inexhaustible:
“The resources which are in limited quantity in nature and can be exhausted in the near future by human activities are called exhaustible natural resources,” e.g., Coal or petroleum. “The resources which are present in unlimited quantity in nature and are not likely to be exhausted by human activities are Inexhaustible natural resources,” e.g., Sunlight and air.
On the other hand, we can use renewable energy sources repeatedly. E.g.:- Solar energy and wind energy. In comparison, we can use non-renewable sources of energy only once. We can not use it again and again. E.g:- natural gas, petrol.
We can say that the classification of the energy sources is based on the long-time availability of exhaustible and inexhaustible sources. But, at the same time, the classification of the energy sources is based on the ability to reuse the source that is renewable and non-renewable.
Therefore the correct statement would be that the energy resources classified as (a) renewable and non-renewable and (b) Exhaustible and inexhaustible are not the same.
