Explain Industrial Society and Social Change in Russia?

The industrial society in Russia underwent major transformations during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, leading to significant social changes. Before industrialization, Russian society was predominantly agrarian, with a rigid class system and the vast majority of the population living in rural areas. 

However, the rise of industrialization in Russia, particularly during the reign of Tsar Nicholas II, led to the rapid growth of cities and the establishment of factories, primarily in areas like St. Petersburg and Moscow. This created a new working class, made up of factory workers, who were often subjected to poor working conditions and low wages.

Industrialization also led to the growth of the middle class, although it was not as pronounced as in other European countries. Social mobility was limited, and many people remained trapped in poverty despite the economic growth. This inequality fueled social unrest and led to movements advocating for workers' rights and political reform. 

These tensions eventually contributed to the Russian Revolution of 1917, which marked a fundamental social and political shift in the country.
