Out-breeding is crossing between two different breeds having unrelated genetic material. Out-breeding has no common hereditary and this introduces new characteristics to the breeding line.

Out-crossing is the technique of crossing over between two animals of the same breed but not having the same ancestry up to at least 5-6 generations.

When a superior breed male is mated with the superior breed female then cross-breeding takes place to produce offspring having desired qualities.
