Concept: Potatoes have modified stems with eyes located at the tuber's nodes. These eyes are capable of producing new potato plant branches under the correct conditions.
Each eye in a potato reflects a node in the stem since potatoes are modified stems. Since they are axillary buds and have the ability to generate extra branches, these eyeballs can sprout new stems. The terminal bud is another word widely used to characterise these buds.
Because potatoes have the capacity to generate new branches from their eyes, they are made from tiny tuber cubes that are separated into pieces having at least two eyes. an example of
eyes begin to expand when the right circumstances are present, shattering their dormant state, and every one creates a fresh branch.
A mature potato tuber will have small indentations in the epidermis that are the nodes. There are also little lumps that are buds in certain places; if the circumstances are correct, a new plant can sprout from these lumps.
The ideal environment for the growth of potato eyes is one that is warm and humid. The potato initially starts to expand and then gradually starts to grow new stems.
