Detailed Solution

Intensive subsistence farming is multi-crop farming.
Intensive Subsistence Farming is a kind of farming where the farmer ploughs a small plot of land. This type of farming is usually done in a humid and warm climate. It requires a high amount of labour and capital. The farmers use these factors to grow two or more crops in a year. The government of India initiated the Intensive Agricultural Area Programme (IAAP) in 1960. The Green Revolution also helped this farming to sustain and grow in India. Intensive farming is practised in almost all parts of India. However, Intensive Subsistence Farming is usually done in areas of high population pressure, such as Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh etc.
