The Bhoodan-Gramdan movement was initiated by Vinoba Bhave, also known as Bloodless Revolution. Bhoodan-Gramdan was started by Vinoba Bhave, a firm believer in Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy. He started the ‘Bhoodan Project’, based on the Satyagraha; it required rich landowners to give up a portion of their lands to the landless cultivators so that the cultivators could farm and sustain themselves. Following the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi, Vinoba also started Padyatra to preach and spread his Bhoodan Yojna. The Bhoodan Yojna was also termed the ‘Bloodless Revolution.
