The river Ganga originates from the Gangotri glacier, and it flows from four states, mainly Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal, before draining into the Bay of Bengal Ganga creates a huge delta and covers 1500 miles approx. The Ganga has many tributaries; some of its major left bank tributaries are Ramganga, Ghagra, Gandak, and Burhi Gandak, whereas its major left bank tributaries are the Yamuna, Son, etc.
