Detailed Solution

The range lying South of the Himadri is known as Himachal. Himachal, or lesser Himalaya, is the range that lies to the south of the Himadri, with one of the most rugged mountain systems. These ranges are primarily composed of extremely compressed and altered rocks. The altitude differs between 3700 and 4500 metres; therefore, the average dimension is 50 km. Some prominent ranges are the Pir Pangal range which is the longest, the Dhaula Dhar range, and the Mahabharat range. In addition, this range includes the notorious valley of Kashmir, the Kangra, and the Kullu valley in Himachal Pradesh.
