Detailed Solution

“Loo” is the term for the strong, gusty, hot, dry winds that blow over the north and north-western parts of India. The "loo" is a noticeable characteristic of the hot weather season. They are generally daytime winds but in other cases, they go on well into the evening. Serious health issues could result from direct exposure to these severe winds. In northern India, dust storms occur in May. These storms temporarily reduce the temperature and bring a cool breeze and light rain. This season is for localised thunderstorms associated with hail, strong gusts, and torrential rain.
