Detailed Solution

Piedmont plains like the Duars, Chos, and Terai have more alluvial soils than other plains.
The most significant and prevalent type of soil is alluvial soil. Alluvial soil makes up the entirety of India's northern plains. Three major Himalayan river systems deposit alluvial soil: the Brahmaputra, Ganges, and Indus. One thing unites the chaos, duars, and terai: they are all piedmont plains, renowned for being incredibly fertile and rich in alluvial soil. The Duars are the eastern Himalayan foothills in northeast India. North India's Terai is a swampy region at the base of a Himalayan mountain range. Chos refers to the rivers connecting the plains to the shiwaliks in the north.
