Detailed Solution

The Konkan is a rugged region on the western coast of India. Beginning in Daman in the Gulf of Cambay, it spreads southward along with Maharashtra's and Goa's western seaside land areas. It runs from the Daman Ganga River north of Mumbai to the Terekhol River south of Goa, connecting Maharashtra and Goa. Aparanta and Konkan Coast are other names for Konkan. It's a coastal plain in western India that stretches between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats to the east. The plain stretches for around 530 kilometres. The Konkan includes Thane, Greater Mumbai, Raigarh, and Ratnagiri in terms of area.
