Detailed Solution

The Tibetan plateau gets intensely heated during summer.
Monsoons are seasonal winds that change direction as the seasons change. Summer monsoons begin their voyage from the sea to the land, and winter monsoons begin their trek from the land to the sea, making the monsoons a two-season wind system. The monsoon season runs from early June to mid-September and lasts between 100 and 120 days. Differential heating of the land and water occurs due to the Sun. The ITCZ, or Intertropical Convergence Zone, changes across the Ganga plains during the summer. The monsoon is influenced by the high-pressure zone east of Madagascar. During the summer, the Tibetan plateau becomes extremely hot due to strong vertical air currents and the building of high pressure above it. Monsoons are greatly affected by the Southern Oscillation.
