Given roots = - 2 and - 6

The sum of the roots = -2 + ( - 6) = - 8

The product of the roots = (- 2).(-6) = 12

Now, if the roots are given, then the quadratic equations will be:

=> x² + (sum of the roots)x + (product of the roots)

=> x² - 8x + 12
