Given, the Sum of the digits is 12.

Let one digit be x. Another digit is 12 - x.

As the Sum of their squares = 74

x2+(12x)2=74

x2+144 +x224x=74

2x224x+14474=0

x212x+35=0

x27x5x+35+0

=> x(x - 7) - 5(x - 7) = 0

=> (x - 7)(x - 5) = 0

=> x = 7, 5

Hence, The number is 57 or 75.
