According to the law of conservation of mass, the total mass of the products is equal to the total mass of the reactants. Mathematically,
Mass of reactants = Mass of Products

Given, mass of the reactant (Calcium Carbonate) =10 g

The mass of Carbon dioxide= 4.4 g

Mass of Calcium Carbonate = Mass of Carbon dioxide + Mass Calcium oxide

10 g = 4.4 g + Mass of calcium oxide

Mass of calcium oxide = 10 -4.4

Mass of calcium oxide = 5.6 g

Hence, calcium oxide produced will be = 5.6 g
