Given E=24V,R=2Ω,R1=4Ω,R2=6Ω,C1=(4/3)μF,C2=4μF.

As the capacitor offers a very high resistance to the current in the steady state, so the
current is prevented to pass through the capacitors. Now, the total resistance in
the circuit is
Req=R+R1+R2=2+4+6=12Ω
Hence, the net current in the circuit is
EReq=2412=2A
Therefore, the terminal potential difference across is
AB=242×2=20V
Note : As the capacitors and resistance are in per parallel the potential difference
of 20 V is available to both the capacitors and the resistors.
VBVy=20×610=12V......iVBVx=20×4/34/3+4=5V......ii
