Step (1): Arrange your numbers in numerical order.
The first 50 whole numbers are
 0,1,2,3,4,.....,49.
Step (2): Here, n=50 , which is an even number. Where, n is the number of the given number.
Step (3): If you have an odd number, divide the number by 2 and round it up to get the position of the median number.
Step (4): If you have an even number divide the number by 2 go to the number in that position and average it with the number in the next higher position to get the median,
We know that,
According to the equation
 N=50 is even
By median formula
 ⇒Median=n2th term +n2+1th term2 
 =25th term +25+1th term2
 =25th term +26th term2
 =24+252=492=24.5
The median of the first 50 whole numbers is 24.5 .
So, the correct answer is “ 24.5 ”.
