Modal class is 30−40
Lower boundary of modal class is l=30
Height of each class is h=10−0=10
 modal frequency is fm=16
Frequency of class preceding to Modal class is f1​=10
Frequency of class succeeding to Modal class is f2​=12
Now, Mode=l+fm-f12fm-f1-f2×h
Putting the values, 30+16-1032-10-12×10=30+6=36
