(i) According to the given figure, the perimeter of ABE is given by:

 =AB+BE+AE =52+234+335 =52+114+185 =5×10+11×5+18×420 =50+55+7220 =17720=81720cm

(ii) The perimeter of rectangle BCDE is given as:

 =2×BE+DE =2×234+76 =2×114+76 =2×11×3+7×212 =2×33+1412 =2×4712 =476=756cm

Now, to find the greater perimeter, the LCM of 20, 6 is 60. Therefore,

17720×33=53160; 476×1010=47060

Comparing the above fractions: 

53160>47060 81720>756

Hence, perimeter of triangle ABE is greater than perimeter of rectangle BCDE.
