Detailed Solution

Given, the slant heights are in the ratio of 3 : 4.
In a cone,
radius = r and slant height = l
Let the slant heights of the two cones be 3x and 4x respectively.
And we know CSA of the cone is πrl  .
The curved surface area of the cone of slant height 3x,
C 1 =π×r×3x   The curved surface area of the cone of slant height 4x,
C 2 =π×r×4x
Therefore, the required ratio is,
C 1 C 2 = π×r×3x π×r×4x   C 1 C 2 = 3 4
Hence, the ratio of the curved surface areas of the two cones is 3:4.
Therefore, the correct option is 3.
