Detailed Solution

Concept- In the beginning, we are subtracting 1 from 100 which results in 99, for next, we will subtract 3 from the previous resultant 99, and we will continue this process till the resultant becomes 0.
Counting the steps of the process performed to get 0 as result, and this number of steps performed will be the square root of 100.
Repeated subtraction method-
100-1=99
99-3=96
96-5=91
91-7=84
84-9=75
75-11=64
64-13=51
51-15=36
36-17=19
19-19=0
In the beginning, we are subtracting 1 from 100 which results in 99, for next, we will subtract 3 from the previous resultant 99, and we will continue this process till the resultant becomes 0. Counting the steps of the process performed to get 0 as result, we get, 10 steps
So, 10 becomes the square root of 100.
The square root of 100 is 10.
Hence, the correct answer is option 3.
