Detailed Solution

Spelter contains mainly Cu and Zn (impure zinc) Froth floatation, Roasting, and Smelting.

By first roasting, the zinc, zinc blende is made of zinc. During roasting, a reduction process is conducted in the presence of carbon, which results in the creation of zinc-containing free metal.
Because zinc blende is a sulfide ore, it is concentrated by froth flotation (ZnS)
The process of turning zinc concentrates (ore containing zinc) into pure zinc is known as zinc smelting.
