Solve the equation using the quadratic formula to find x. x = (20)± (20) 2 4×1×(69) 2×1 x = 20± 20 2 +(4×69) 2 x = 20± 400+276 2  
x= 20± 676 2  
x= 20±26 2  
x= 2(10±13) 2  
x=10±13   The number x can be 10+13   or 1013  .
That is, x can be 23 or -3.
