Detailed Solution

Let the first, second, and third consecutive odd numbers be (2x + 1), (2x + 3) and (2x + 5), respectively.

Thus, according to the question:

β†’ (2x + 1) + (2x + 3) + (2x + 5) = 147.

β†’ 2x + 2x + 2x + 1 + 3 + 5 = 147

β†’ 6x + 9 = 147.

β†’ 6x = 147 – 9

β†’ 6x = 138

β†’ x = 23

Thus,

First Number = 2x + 1

                        = 2(23) + 1 = 47

Second Number = 2x + 3

                        = 2(23) + 3 = 49

Third Number = 2x + 5

                        = 2(23) + 5 = 51

Hence, the required numbers are 47, 49, and 51.
