So, for zeros of the polynomial: p(x) = 0

=> ${\mathrm{x}}^2–4\mathrm{x} + 2\mathrm{x} –8 = 0$

=> x(x – 4) + 2(x – 4) = 0  

= (x - 4)(x + 2) = 0 

So, x - 4 = 0 , x - 2 = 0  

Therefore, x = 4, - 2. 

Hence, zeros of the given polynomials = 4, - 2
