Detailed Solution

It is given that, the dimension is  5 m × 4 m .
The diameter of circular tile is 50 cm .
Question ImageObtain the area of a room. We get,
lb=5×4
=20  m 2
Obtain the area of each circular tile.
The radius of each circular tile is 50 2 =25 cm
Area of each circular tile =π (25) 2
=3.14× ( 25 100 ) 2 m = 3.14 16 m 2
Total number of tiles =10×8
=80 tiles.
Area of 80 tiles =80× 3.14 16
=15.7  m 2
Area of the floor remains uncovered = area of the room Area of 80 circular tiles
=2015.7
=4.3  m 2
Therefore, the area of the floor that is not covered by tiles is 4.3 m2.
Hence, option 2) is correct.
