= l + \frac{(\frac{N}{2} - cf)}{f_{m}} \times c

Here,
Class Interval,

c = 100

N = Σ f_{i}

\Rightarrow N = 60

Then,

\frac{N}{2} = 30

Median class

= 700 - 800

Frequency of median class,

f_{m} = 17

Lower boundary of median class,

l = 700

previous cumulative frequency of median class,

cf = 24

On substituting,

\Rightarrow

Median

= 700 + \frac{(\frac{60}{2} - 24)}{17} \times 100

\Rightarrow Median = 700 + \frac{(6)}{17} \times 100

\Rightarrow Median = 735.29

Thus, the median is 735.29.
