Let the number of extra minutes be

We’ll convert the 75 paise into rupees

100 Paise = 1 Rupee

75 Paise = 0.75 Rs

Amount charged on each extra minute is Rs. 0.75

Total amount = 145 + 0.75 x

178 = 145 + 0.75 x

0.75 x = 178 - 145
