Charge of making a bed is Rs. 2500.
Cost of materials used is Rs.1100.
The labor charge is Rs. 200 per hour.
We have to find the number of hours for which carpenter worked.
Let the carpenter worked for x hr.
Then, the total labor charge was 200x.
The amount charged by a carpenter for making a bed = cost of materials + total labor charge
Putting these values,
2500=1100+200x
2500−1100=200x 1400=200x Now, dividing 200 on both the sides
x=7
Thus, the carpenter worked for 7 hrs.
Therefore, option 3 is correct.
