For Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, elections are held after every 5 years. The Vidhan Sabha is the state legislative assembly formed of the legislatures chosen by the citizens. In contrast, the Lok Sabha is the Lower House of the Indian Parliament and consists of elected representatives. In most cases, elections for both the Lok Sabha and the Vidhan Sabha occur every five years. On the other hand, if the party in power loses the majority of seats in the House, the President will dissolve the House and call for new elections. Similarly, if the state administration loses the majority of seats in the state legislature, the Governor will dissolve the state assembly and call for new elections.
