Detailed Solution

Frédéric Sorrieu was a French artist. He prepared a series of four prints in the year 1848. These four prints visualised his dream of a world of what he called "Democratic and Social Republics". The first print depicted the people of Europe and America—irrespective of gender, age, or class—walking on a long train. As they pass by the Statue of Liberty, they are seen paying homage to the statue. A female figure is holding the torch of Enlightenment in one hand and the Charter of the Rights of Man in the other. The last shattered remains of the symbols depicting absolutist institutions lie on the ground.
