P (A) = \frac{Number of favorable outcomes}{Total number of outcomes}

The total number of outcomes is a deck of 52 playing cards.
Total number of kings in a deck is 4 and the number of queens is 4.
The number of events getting cards of either a king or a queen is,
n(X) = 8
So, the probability of getting cards of neither a king nor a queen is,

\Rightarrow P (E) = \frac{n (X)}{n (S)}

\Rightarrow P (E) = \frac{8}{52}

\Rightarrow P (E) = \frac{2}{13}

The probability of getting cards of neither a king nor a queen is

\frac{2}{13} .
