From where does the alimentary canal start and extend to the anus?

The alimentary canal, also known as the gastrointestinal tract, is a muscular tube that connects the mouth to the anus and is in charge of food digestion and absorption. 

The mouth, pharynx, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, and anus are all part of it.

The mouth is the first part of the digestive tract through which food enters, and the anus is the final part of the digestive tract through which waste products exit the body. 

The digestive tract is made up of several organs that work together to break down food, extract nutrients from it, and eliminate waste products.
