Detailed Solution

The British collected timber from India in 1820.
At the beginning of the 19th Century, the oak forest in England began to disappear. As a result, the supply of timber for the Royal Navy in Britain was diminished. Their ships cannot be built without a regular supply of strong wood. So the search parties of Great Britain reached the Indian forest to collect timber by 1820 to protect the imperial power and build their ships. Within a decade, trees in Indian forests were cut down on a large scale, and a large quantity of timber was exported from India to Britain. This extensive deforestation caused many problems for Indian people who depended on forests. Many of the Indian forests evaporated because of this.
