Detailed Solution

The Northeasterly trade winds originate from the subtropical high-pressure belt. It lies between the equatorial low-pressure zone and the sub-polar low-pressure zone. Currents always flow from a high-pressure zone to a low-pressure zone. Thus, the subtropical high-pressure belt becomes the source of Northeasterly Trade Winds. It intended to blow southwards, but due to Coriolis force, in the northern hemisphere, due to the influence of Coriolis, the wind’s direction turned from the actual direction to their right.
